Add VAT number to your account

European customers can add a VAT number to their account billing details.

UK businesses have to pay VAT on transactions. You may be able to claim it back from HMRC. If your billing address is in the UK, you won't see the option to add VAT to your billing details. 

1. To add your European VAT number, navigate to the Plan & Billing page  View full size
2. Click Overview and then, Billing details to be redirected to the Stripe customer portal 
3. When you change your billing information to a European country, you’ll see the option to add a VAT number.

We validate all VAT numbers here: http://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/vies/. If your VAT number is showing as not valid, you'll need to contact that organization to resolve this issue.
